A Historic Oil City Wedding at the Belles Lettres Club in Venango County | Erica & Robert

Erica and Robert’s wedding at the Belles Lettres Club in Oil City was one of those days, where history, family, and love quietly intertwined. Set inside a treasured Victorian landmark in Venango County, their celebration was intimate, thoughtful, and full of moments that felt both timeless and deeply personal.

Getting Ready in Victorian Belles Lettres Club

The day began upstairs at the Belles Lettres Club, where Erica and Robert prepared in two distinct Victorian-style suites. The groom’s room glowed with soft yellow light, while the bridal suite was rich and dramatic in deep red tones. Robert and his best man stepped out for a few minutes to allow Erica along with her mother and maid of honor to step into her flowing dress from Nicole’s Bridal in Seneca, PA. These spaces felt calm and intentional, offering a quiet pause before the day unfolded. Silhouette portraits highlighted the architecture and light, while one unforgettable image in the red suite showcased Erica’s dress and flowing train in a way that felt straight from an editorial spread.

A Ceremony Framed by Greenery

The main event space was transformed with trees and shrubs from Pollen Nation in Franklin, Pennsylvania, creating a ceremony setting that felt both organic and intimate. Twinkle lights glowed through the greenery, softly dividing the room into ceremony and reception spaces. As Erica walked through the trees with her father, the room seemed to hold its breath. The ceremony itself was heartfelt and personal, perfectly suited to the warmth and history of the Belles Lettres Club.

An Intimate Reception

The reception that followed was simple and heartfelt. No excess, just intention. An indie, laid-back Pandora playlist set the tone, sparkling apple cider filled the glasses, and John Kluck Catering provided food that felt comforting and home-cooked in the best way. There was something especially meaningful knowing that Mr. Kluck had also been one of Erica’s teachers. The entire day felt connected by shared history and familiar faces.

A Full-Circle Celebration

This wedding felt especially meaningful, not only because of the love shared, but because of the connections woven throughout the day. From a historic venue that has served Oil City for generations to the quiet overlap of past and present, Erica and Robert’s wedding was a reminder that the most beautiful celebrations are rooted in authenticity. It was an honor to document a day that felt so deeply connected to family, community, and love in Venango County.
